Announcements October 2025
A Statement from FPH2 Chairman Parris |
First Public Hydrogen Authority Remains Committed to Expanding the Hydrogen Economy in California
Recognizing recent shifts in USDOE hydrogen grant funding, First Public Hydrogen Authority (FPH2), the nation’s first public hydrogen utility, underscores our commitment to expanding hydrogen deployment through proven municipal strategies. Working with local governments, skilled workforce, the private sector, and university partners, increased hydrogen deployments are already on the horizon.
As we plan our energy future, FPH2 will stay the course on enabling hydrogen adoption across the economy. We will utilize every available tool to support new hydrogen production projects in the state, as well as new infrastructure that stores, transports, dispenses, and utilizes hydrogen. Expanding hydrogen production here at home strengthens our region’s competitive position, advances energy diversity and independence, and creates more highly skilled jobs.
First Public Hydrogen Authority will remain steadfast in its mission to expand the hydrogen economy. Cities created FPH2 to ensure that hydrogen remains a practical and reliable energy resource. We will remain focused on new energy, new jobs, lower costs for consumers, and overall improving our communities.

A car is stolen every 39 seconds in the US |
What to Do if Your Car Is Ever Stolen: A Practical Guide for Every Driver
Every 39 seconds. That’s how frequently a vehicle is stolen in the United States. According to the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB), over one million vehicles were reported stolen in 2023, representing a seven percent increase from the previous year. While comprehensive insurance coverage can provide financial protection, losing your vehicle to theft can be stressful and disorienting. In this guide, we’ll walk you through what happens after your car disappears, from reporting the theft to resolving your insurance claim. (You’ll also find some theft prevention tips.)
Steps to Take in the First 24 Hours
Notify the Police: As soon as you discover your vehicle is missing — and confirm it wasn't towed or borrowed by someone you know — alert local law enforcement. Getting the theft logged as soon as possible is crucial, as statistics show that 20 percent of recovered vehicles are found within the first 24 hours of being taken.

New Exhibition, Hands That Feed Us, By Artist Michael James, Opens At MOAH:CEDAR |
Lancaster, CA - The Lancaster Museum of Art and History (MOAH) and MOAH:CEDAR are pleased to present Hands That Feed Us, a solo exhibition by artist Michael James. The exhibition will be on view from October 11 through November 30, 2025, at MOAH:CEDAR. The opening reception will take place on Saturday, October 11, from 4 to 6 PM.
MOAH:CEDAR’s newest exhibition, Hands That Feed Us, highlights the critical yet often overlooked labor of migrant farm workers in the United States. Through James’ self-described style of Chromatic Stylized Realism, Michael James portrays farm workers not as anonymous laborers but as essential figures at the foundation of American life, individuals who sustain the nation while receiving little recognition or protection. The exhibition addresses powerful narratives of migration, the heroic demands of agricultural work, and the complex realities of immigration and border politics.
“In this series, I’m asking viewers to pause and consider the people whose labor quietly sustains our daily lives,” says Michael James. “To understand their journey to get to this place, the labor they perform, and the daily challenges they face. Farm workers are often unseen, yet they carry the weight of our nation’s food supply. We depend on them both economically and practically. Through these paintings, I hope to open a space for recognition, discussion, and reflection.”
