| City of Lancaster Municipal Election Unofficial Results Announced |
Lancaster, CA - Today, the City of Lancaster held its municipal elections. The seat of Mayor and Two Council seats are up for election for a full four-year term.
As of the time of this announcement, the unofficial results show that R. Rex Parris is on pace to secure the necessary votes to be re-elected as Mayor, while Ken Mann and Lauren Hughes-Leslie are on pace to secure a City Councilmember seat. The results are preliminary and subject to change pending the count of all mail-in and provisional ballots.
"Although these are preliminary results, it will be a privilege and honor to serve again as your Mayor," said Mayor Parris. "I am deeply grateful to the residents of this City for their continued support as we work towards a safer, stronger, and more sustainable Lancaster. My journey in public service has been driven by a belief in the potential of every individual and the power of the community. From reducing gang violence to creating thousands of jobs and securing billions in investments, we've achieved remarkable milestones together. But our work is far from over. My primary goal is to keep Lancaster as the vibrant community I grew up in while ensuring it's a place where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. Together, let's continue to write the story of Lancaster's success—one of progress, opportunity, and unwavering determination."

There was one initiative on the ballot, Measure C. Measure C proposes that the City of Lancaster explore and potentially establish a drug treatment program similar to Teen Challenge to address drug-related issues within our community. This measure reflects the community's efforts to address critical issues surrounding substance abuse and addiction, highlighting the importance of finding effective solutions to support the well-being and safety of our residents. The ballot for Measure C has unofficially passed.
