Launched to incentivize consumers to shop at locally-owned businesses, the Shop Local initiative has been instrumental in stimulating economic growth in the City. By encouraging residents to support businesses in Lancaster, the program aims to keep money circulating within the local economy.

The Open Rewards app offers users the opportunity to earn rewards simply by spending at participating Lancaster businesses. Since its inception, the program has seen an impressive impact with over 19,862 transactions recorded and a community of 4,658 registered users.
The City of Lancaster is proud to have sponsored over $200,000 in rewards, empowering residents to make their purchases with added value. These rewards can be applied towards purchases at participating businesses, fostering the cycle of economic benefits within the community.
